Somewhere Out There...

Why do we yearn for more than we have? What is it inside that calls for more? I have a wonderful family, friends that care, everything they say is needed for a 'happy' life. Still, I desperatly desire something more. To travel to another galaxy, join the armed forces, anything! To have a one on one relationship with a being that will truly understand and comfort me.
What is so wrong with my life that I search for a different one? I'm not unhappy with my life as it is, there just seems to be something missing. It's just out of grasp, i can almost reach it. Maybe with time...

Hair gel

this is a story written by My best friend and i during my last year in maryland

SG-1 and its teen counterparts stood on the ramp to the Stargate, waiting for the dialing sequence –
Aisha: Wait, we can’t do that, because then when the dialing sequence finishes, it swooshes out and kills us!
Robin: You’re right, bad idea. Let’s start over.
SG-1 and its teen counterparts stood in the equipment room, waiting for the dialing sequence to finish. Suddenly Robin looked up. "Colonel, I just remembered something!"
"What?" Jack turned to her.
"I just remembered, I forgot –"
The door opened and the captain stuck his head in. "Sir, the last chevron is engaging."
Jack stared at him.
"You can go thru now, sir," the captain added with a sigh.
"Oh! Thank you!" Jack turned around. "Ready, team?"
"But Jack, I just remembered –"
A loud crash interrupted her. Jack whirled around to where Aisha was staring at the floor guiltily.
"Aisha!" he yelped, seeing the cylinder that lay on the floor. "Don’t do that!"
"I wasn’t trying to," Aisha retorted. "I tripped!"
"You trip on that, and it opens up, and it goes BOOM! And no more SG-1. I’m not even sure if there’s a MOUNTAIN after that!"
Robin looked back and forth between her commander and best friend. "Um, sir, I –"
The captain popped his head back in. "Excuse me, colonel, we’re waiting," he droned.
Jack mopped his forehead. "Yes, yes, we’re coming," he grumbled. "Aisha, put that back, and don’t touch anything, don’t look at anything, for Pete’s sake don’t trip over anything!"
"Yes sir," Aisha responded.
"Now, let’s move!" Jack walked out the door, turned around, and bumped into Robin. "By the way, what was it you were trying to ask me?" he asked. Robin stared for a minute. "I don’t remember," she confessed. Jack sighed. "Okay, now we can go."
Two minutes later, the team stood alongside the wall of the Gate room as the iris slid open and the blue substance whooshed forward.
Robin: Is whoosh a technical term?
"Alright team, we’re going thru," Jack hollered, waving them up the ramp. Teal’c walked up the ramp and stepped thru, followed by Daniel, then Sam, and finally Aisha. Jack followed them, Robin on his heels.
He placed one foot in the gate and felt the tingly sensation of gating, when all of a sudden something grabbed his arm and pulled him back to reality and the gateroom. He stared in shock at Robin, who was holding on to his arm for dear life.
"What?" he demanded disoriented.
"I just remembered," she offered weakly. "I forgot my hair gel!"

Beckett

"Hey, we came as soon as we heard." ronon sat down on the edge of Robins hospital bed.
"How are you feeling?" Teyla stood near the foot of her bed.
Robin nodded "Better. Dr. Beckett says I’ll probably be up again in a few days." she said "Hey! Can you do something for me?"
Teyla glanced at Ronon and raise an eyebrow "We will not bring your computer. Dr. Beckett says you need complete rest for a few days."
Robin rolled her eyes "I’m fine. There’s nothing else to do and it’s wasting time"
"I will bring you some books or a book of puzzles if you like." Teyla offered
"no thanks." Robin sank back down on the bed
"I must go." Teyla smiled at Robin "I will come back later, and I’ll bring something for you to do."
Robin nodded "See you later."
"Stop pouting." Ronon said
"I’m not pouting." Robin frowned "I’m just bored and I don’t see why they won’t let me have my laptop."
"You walk around with it glued to you. I think Beckett wants you to have a stress free recovery."
Robin made a face "I’m not stressed when I have my laptop, I’m focused."
"Let it go. You’re acting like a child."
"Thank you Ronon. Don’t you have somewhere to be?"
"No actually, colonel sheppard heard that you were giving Beckett a little bit of a hard time and he asked me to come down here and keep you company for a while." Ronon laughed "he seems to think you’ll listen to me."
Robin shook her head "You don’t?"
"Don’t what?"
"Think I’ll listen to you." Robin raised an eyebrow
"Will you?"
"Probably not." robin laughed
"You must be feeling better." Carson said as he came up beside the bed.
"I’d feel even better if I could have my laptop." Robin pressed
"I don’t think it would do you any good." Carson refused "You’ll do fine without it for a few days."
"It wouldn’t be a bad thing. I could even promise to leave my project alone. All I want to do is write to Jack, it’s been awhile and he’ll wonder what’s wrong." Robin insisted
Carson looked at Ronon. Ronon shrugged "I could stay for a while and make sure she doesn’t work on anything." he offered
"fine" Carson relented "But only if you’re watching her and don’t leave it with her when you go." he warned "Or I won’t let her use it in here again."
Robin grinned "Thanks doc." she said as Beckett walked off
"no problem."
Ronon stood up "I’ll go get it."

Ronon hurried through the halls to Robins room and knocked on the door. Aisha opened the door a few seconds later "Ronon. What’s up?" she asked surprised.
"I need Robins laptop." he told her
"I though she wasn’t allowed to have it."
"Doc says that if she promises not to work on it she can use it to write this Jack you two talk about." he explained as Aisha unplugged the charger and wrapped it around the computer "here you go." she handed the computer to Ronon. "Tell her I’ll be down in a couple hours." she instructed.
"Will do." Ronon set a fast pace back down to the infirmary where he knew robin was waiting impatiently for her laptop.
"Ronon?"
Ronon turned around "John."
"What re you doing?" he asked, looking at the laptop.
"Taking this down to Robin. Beckett said she could use it if she promised not to work on it." he explained "I said I would keep an eye on her for awhile to make sure she doesn’t try to work."
"What does she want with it if she can’t work on it?" John motioned for him to continue. Ronon nodded and they resumed the walk towards the infirmary.
"She wants to write this Jack of hers." Ronon raised an eyebrow "who is this jack anyways?" he asked.
"He’s their commanding officer back on Earth, also the closest thing they have to a dad." he explained "they are on a team called SG-1 together."
"Why do they write so often?" he asked
"Like I said, he’s the closest thing to a father they have and beside, when you’re on a team together you get close to people. He’s their touch with the reality they know how to deal with."
Ronon nodded "Are you going the whole way with me?" he asked as they neared the infirmary door
Sheppard shrugged "I might as well, I came this far."
Robin was sitting with her arms crossed, staring at the door. "What took you so long?" she asked ronon as he handed the laptop over to her.
"What are you talking about?" ronon asked "I was barely gone ten minutes."
"What took you ten minutes?"
"How about saying thanks?" John broke in
"Oh, hi Colonel." robin noticed him for the first time "ronon knows I’m joking."
"How are you feeling?" John asked touching one of the IVs coming out of her arm.
"I’m feeling fine, I should be up and working."
"Hey, just about everybody here would love a chance to lay around and do nothing for a few days. Take advantage of this." John encouraged
"I don’t want to rest, I want to finish and go home." she insisted "But on the bright side, I do have a chance to write Jack." she finished, noting the dark look growing on Johns face.
"About time you found something to be happy about." John stood from the seat he had taken on the edge of her bed. Robin rolled her eyes and opened her comp. "Are you leaving?" she asked as John began walking towards the door
"Yeah, I have work to do." he said " I’ll drop back by later."
Robin nodded and impatiently eyed her laptop. Ronon smiled and began unwrapping the cord.
"Can I start it up?" Robin asked, reaching for the computer.
"Yeah." Ronon handed it to her and plugged the cord into the wall"Thanks for this Ronon." Robin said as she waited for the boot up sequence to finish."
"No problem." he said "I didn’t have.
anything else to do anyways."
"Anything you want to say to Jack?"
"I don’t know Jack, why would I say anything to him?"
Robin shrugged "I don’t know. It was just an offer."
Ronon nodded "I’ll be fine watching you." he said as he positioned his chair to where he could see her screen.
Robin watched with one eyebrow raised "You’re not going to read everything I write are you?" she asked
"No, I’m just making sure you aren’t really working instead of writing."
Robin nodded "mind if I play a little music?"
Ronon shook his head "Just don’t gt us kicked out of here."
Robin didn’t reply and soon there was soft music playing
"What is that?" Ronon asked "I’ve never heard you play anything like this before."
Robin laughed "I was just checking the volume. Don’t worry...I’ll change it."
"Oh." Ronon leaned back in the chair "hey, play that song that you were playing the other day."
"Which one?" Robin looked up
"More to life?" he guessed
Robin nodded "Only if I can play ‘Stuck’ first."
Ronon shrugged "what ever."
Dread filled John as he approached the infirmary, but he had promised Ronon that he would take over after a few hours. He stopped for a moment outside the door and listened for a clue as to the attitude in the adjourning room. To his surprise, instead of stony silence or the arguments he had expected, laughter was drifting out. He opened the door and stepped inside. Robin and Ronon were holding pretend microphones and belting out a song to the enjoyment of the rest of the infirmary.

More to come. maybe

Scene from atlantis

Robin exhaled softly as she settled on top of the balcony. Located across the hall from the main computer room, it had the best view and she often escaped there when her mind refused to cooperate. She leaned back against the support beam and gazed out at the ocean; quickly losing herself in thought.
Ronon walked down the hall, restless. It was calm in Atlantis, and had been for days now. He stopped outside the main computer lab and peered inside. McKay was seated at a computer and was surrounded by several people crowding to see the screen. Curious, he walked in ‘what’s going on?" he asked joining the crowd.
"Sshh!" McKay hissed. Ronon stood with his arms crossed in an eased stance, and raised an eyebrow. "Hard at work?" he questioned
The man standing next to him answered for McKay "He claims he can win this game ten times in a row and we say it can’t be done."
"If I fail it will be your fault." Rodney called out
"How would it be my fault?’ Ronon asked
"You’re distracting me. Go away!" Rodney snapped. Ronon nodded, and turned with an amused look on his face. He walked out remembering the balcony in this hall. He headed across the hall and stepped out on the balcony; closing his eyes against the gentle sea breeze. Taking a deep breathe he opened his eyes and to his surprise he saw Robin sitting on top of the balcony. "What are you doing here?" he asked walking over to the wall and leaned over it, looking down "It’s a long way to fall" he stated. Robin started at his voice "Huh? Oh," She leaned out a little to look down "It’s not that far." She answered with a faint smile "Sorry I didn’t hear you come out; guess I was just lost in thought. I tend to do that when I’m alone." she apologized "what brings you out here?’ she asked
Ronon shrugged "Nothing better to do."
Robin nodded "the sea breeze clears my head." She said "I need to be working on the database, but it was so loud in there; I couldn’t take it."
"Where were you?" Ronon looked at her
"The computer lab right across the hall; they were taking bets on who could play some stupid game the most times in a row without losing." She explained
"It’s quiet in there now." Ronon said, chuckling. "Rodney’s playing now and the rest of the room is clustered around him, watching."
Robin shook her head "they’re so bored."
"What’s wrong?" Ronon asked quietly leaning forward to meet Robin’s eyes.
"What do you mean?" she asked
"You seem sad, like you’re carrying a heavy load."
Robin pulled her knees up to her chest and gazed out at the ocean "Nothing really, I’m just tired."
Ronon shook his head "When you’re ready to talk, I’ll listen OK?" he asked "Or, I could see if Sheppard has time to talk.’ He grinned
Robin glared at him "don’t you dare"
"What? You don’t want to talk to him?" he teased
"If you tell him that I have a problem, I’ll never talk to you again." Robin threatened "I’ll never hear the end of it. ‘Are you ok’ ‘you look like something’s wrong’ ‘lets talk’ Please don’t tell him." she ended "I’ll be fine."
Ronon laughed "I won’t tell him, your secret’s safe with me."
"Tell who what?"
Robin started "Hello sir."
"Colonel." Ronon turned around "what brings you here?"
John glanced at him "Not much really, I need Robin to take a jumper over to the mainland and check up on them. They haven’t radioed in for days now and Dr. Weir is getting nervous." He looked at Robin ‘You up to it?"
Robin nodded "Yeah, who’s my co-pilot?" she asked as she swung her legs over and pushed herself off the edge of the rail.
"It’s only an hour over, do you really need one?" Sheppard asked
Robin looked surprised "I guess not. Is anyone going with me?"
John shrugged "You can pick whoever you want. Take jumper two; they know you have permission to take it out. You should have no problems."
Robin looked at Ronon "Doing anything?" she asked
Ronon grinned "I am now."
"Thanks." Robin followed Sheppard out into the hall ‘Is there anything I’m supposed to tell them over here?" she asked
"Not really. I want you to take a spare radio over just in case their radio died, but other than that, just check up on them then come back." he smiled at her "You’ll be fine."
Robin stopped and watched him walk away, incredulous. Ronon walked up beside her "Something wrong?" he asked.
"I can’t believe him. Just because I ask what I’m supposed to do when I get there, he assumes I’m nervous and need to be reassured." She fumed, arms crossed.
"Relax; I don’t think he meant anything by it." Ronan nudged her arm "let’s go."
Robin sighed "What ever. I’ll go get the radio and meet you in the jumper bay." She took off down the hall. Ronon watched her jog down the hall way, and then turned to leave; shaking his head.

~Several Hours Later~
"Lieutenant, how did it go?" Sheppard asked. Robin flashed a grin at him ‘It was beautiful colonel." She turned back around to the controls.
‘What went wrong out there?" he sat down in the co-pilots hair and stared at the controls.
Robin shook her head "I don’t know, the trip there was fine. The Athosians are ok; their radio had quit working so we dropped off the extra radio and loaded up with some samples of the crops and headed back." She quickly outlined their trip to the mainland "I don’t know what happened, the jumper refused to accept commands for a space of five minutes or so."
"That’s what Ronon told me, was there any warning?" John brought up the controls on his side
"No, not that I saw."
"What all did you try?" he asked
"Just about everything, I really don’t know what all I tried." Robin answered "If there was a command I could think of hat wouldn’t kill us, I tried it."
Sheppard sat back in the sat and looked at her "You probably overloaded the drive." He concluded. Robin stared at him "excuse me?’
"I said- you probably overloaded the system." He repeated.
"Are you saying his is my fault?" she asked
"Yes and no." Sheppard sighed "I shouldn’t have sent you alone."
Robin stood up "right. See you." She walked out.
Ronon leaned towards Sheppard from his seat in the back "It wasn’t her fault." He stated
"How do you know?"
"I’ve watched you, she did nothing out of the ordinary." He explained "And she didn’t over load the system, she waited to make sure the command wasn’t going though before she tried a new one."
"Are you sure?" John asked
"Positive."
"Then why didn’t you say something when I was talking to her?"
Ronon shrugged "Didn’t seem like the thing to do, you know she’s mad at you?"
Sheppard frowned "why? It’s my duty to assess situations like this and come up with an explanation."
"From what I’ve heard, she’s having a bad month; maybe you could be a little easier on her."
John shook his head "If I treat her different, it could become an excuse to not try her best."
"Everybody here is here by choice; this trip was decided for her." Ronon folded his arms "I think there’s something going on that she’s not talking about."
"Like what?" Shepherd looked skeptical
"I don’t know." ronon shrugged "I just think we should give her a little leeway."
Shepherd shook his head "Beckett said she’s just depressed. She’ll be fine in a few days."
"What ever." Ronon walked out.
"See you later." John called after him. He didn’t answer.

Ronon stopped by Robins room and knocked on the door "you in there?" he called "Let me in."
Robin opened the door "What’s up?" her eyes were red and blotchy.
"It’s not your fault, you know." he said, leaning against the door jam.
Robin didn’t say anything, but she moved away from door to let him in. She sat down in one of the chairs in the room and hugged her knees. "What do you think happened?" she asked after a moment.
"I don’t know." Ronon answered honestly "But you don’t need to beat your self up over it."
"Thanks." Robin smiled sadly. "I need to go work on the database." she said "I’m trying to find a patch of stars that match the patch in my mind."
"That sounds hard." Ronon frowned "How do you even do that?"
"I don’t know. I wish aisha were here." robin sighed
"Who?"
"Aisha, my best friend." Robin stared at the wall "We’re linked, you know."
"Wt does linked mean?" he asked leaning forward in his seat
"We have a mind meld, I can always sense where she is and what she’s thinking." Robin explained " at least I used to able to."
"You can’t anymore?" Ronon frown in thought
"No, it’s like she died. There’s nothing but a hole where she was in my mind." Robin tried to explain "It feels like something heavy is sitting on my chest, there’s never any relief."
"Have you told Beckett about this?" Ronon asked
"About the weight on my chest? Yes. He said I’m depressed." Robin grimaced
"You didn’t tell him about the link?"
"No, I usually don’t tell anyone." Robin smiled "they think we’re crazy."
"There might be a connection."
"Probably, the aliens told us we weren’t supposed to be separated for more than a few days." Robin said
"How long have you been apart?"
"At least two months." a tear slipped down her cheek, and robin quickly wiped it away. "Sorry." she apologized
"You’re fine." Ronon stood "Come on, we need to tell Beckett about this."
"I don’t want to, not right now." Robin grimaced as ronon pulled her out of her chair by the arm. "Ronon, stop." she tried to twist out of his grasp
"Come on Robin, don’t fight. This is something the doctor needs to know." ROnon released her arm but put his hand on her shoulder to give a gentle push.
"No." Robin moved away "You can tell him if you want, but I’m not leaving this room."
"Fine, you stay here." Ronon said, leaving the room "But I’ll be back."
Robin sat back down and picked up her laptop."I’ll be here." she said. Robin picked up her head phones and put them on while she waited for her computer to boot up. Once it was running, she opened windows media player. Searching thru her play lists, she found the group she was looking for. Skillet. She laid down and rested her head on the arm rest of the chair, hanging her feet over the edge and turned up the volume. Don’t say good bye. It was her favorite song be this group and she hummed along.
Ronon walked through the clinic, looking for Beckett. "Doc, do you have a minute?" he asked when he found him.
"Sure, what’s wrong?" Beckett set down the clipboard he was holding.
"It’s about Robin." Ronon began
"Major Shepherd was just in here about her" Beckett said
"really?" Ronon frowned "What did he say?"
"He just asked if I could see Robin soon and make sure she’s really ok." Beckett said "what is it you were going to ask?"
"I know she told you about the heavy feeling in her chest, but she told me something this afternoon that I think you should know about." ronon said
Beckett was instantly interested "what is it?"
Did you know that Robin is linked to a girl named Aisha?" ronon asked
"What do you mean by linked?"
"I don’t really know, but Robin said the aliens who gave them this link said that they shouldn’t be apart for more than a few days."
"How long have they been apart? Do you know?" Beckett asked frowning
"Robin said at least three months."
"Where is Robin?" Beckett asked "I’d like to talk to her about this?"
"She’s in her room; or at least she was."
"What?"
"I told her that you needed to know about this, and she didn’t like the idea. I told her I was going to bring you there, and I’m not sure if she’ll still be there." ronon said
"well, let’s go check this out." Beckett said "I need find out more about this link."
"Right behind you doc." ronon said and they headed for Robins quarters. Ronon knocked on the door "robin?" he called
"Come in, it’s unlocked." she called. Beckett opened the door "hey Robin, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" he asked. Robin raised an eyebrow, she was still laying on the chair with her head phones and laptop "Do I really have a choice?" she asked
"No." ronon answered for Beckett "This is important, Robin, tell him what you told me."
"What all did Ronon tell you?" Robin asked Beckett
"That you have some sort of a link with a girl back on earth." Beckett said "and that you aren’t suppose to be apart for more than a few days."
"That’s most of it." Robin said, sitting up and pulling the ear phones out "We were apart for about two months on earth, but that wasn’t so bad. When I came thru the stargate, that’s when this heavy feeling started. It feels like she died, I was able to sense her, know where she was, what she was thinking or feeling for so long that it seemed like we had never been without the meld." Robin said "When I stepped thru the stargate, it was like she died."
"What did you call it?" Beckett leaned forward in his seat
"A meld" Robin said
"Does Weir know about this?" Ronon asked
Robin shrugged "don’t know."
"I’ll go check doc." Ronon stood up. Beckett nodded "I’d like to take some x-rays Robin"
"You won’t see anything." Robin told him
"How do you know?"
"Trust me, before they knew what was happening to me..they took plenty of x-rays. They couldn’t see anything." Robin said
"I would still like to take some." Beckett insisted
"what ever."
"Beckett?" Shepherd looked confused "I didn’t mean a room call."
Robin frowned "What are you talking about?"
"Shepherd asked me to examine you soon and make sure you were ok." Beckett explained "Did you know about the meld?"
What?" John came in "I don’t think so."
"I could have told you that." Robin said
"Well you didn’t." Beckett said "If you come with us, I think we’re going to go talk to Weir." he said glancing at Robin who sighed and stood "Why don’t I stay here?" she suggested hopefully
"no, you should come with us." Beckett said "I really would like to take some x-rays."
Robin sighed "It was worth a shot." she said.
"Too bad it didn’t work." Shepherd sympathized "but since it didn’t, let’s try to cooperate."
Robin stared at him "right." she said before leaving the room
"That was good." Beckett commented before following her down the hall.
"Did I say something?" he asked, catching up to them in the hall.
"You could try to be a little more sensitive." Beckett said
"I wasn’t insensitive!" Shepherd insisted "Were is Weir?"
"I’m assuming she’s in her office." Beckett answered "That’s where we’re going to check first."
"Right." the three of them hurried along to her office and found ronon and Weir there, ronon catching her up on the details.
"Robin, Beckett, John; I’m glad to see you’re here." she said they entered the office
"We were about to come find you."
"Is there anything about this meld in the files?" Beckett asked
"No, I didn’t find anything." Weir answered "But I did send a message to Earth asking for more info on this." she added
"Good, I’d like to know as much on this as I can; in the meanwhile, dr. Weir, do you mind if I take a few x-rays?" Becket asked
"I told you they won’t do any good." Robin said
"What do you mean?" John asked
"She says they already tried to take photos of this back on Earth and that they didn’t see anything." Beckett explained
"Maybe they’ll send those photos along with the other info." Robin added "We should at least wait until they send the info."
Weir raised an eyebrow "Ok, we’ll wait for the info from earth before I authorize a x-ray." She relented
Beckett looked visibly disappointed
"Sorry Carson, you’ll probably get the chance anyway." weir smiled at him
"Or you could take my word on the matter." Robin said
"Hey, you got your way. I think you could be a little understanding." John admonished
"Sorry." Robin said quickly
"No you’re not." Ronon grinned
Robin shrugged "Yeah you’re right. I’m not. I’ve never been found of x-rays and try to avoid them when ever possible." she agreed
"you’re hopeless." Carson said "Never the less, I would like to do a complete examination today."
"That I do agree to." Weir responded.
"Me too." Robin added "that can’t possibly hurt."
"Neither does an x-ray." Beckett pointed out
"Yeah, but an exam doesn’t have rays piercing my skull." she said as they left the room
"Mind if I come along?" Ronon asked, tailing along behind them.
"No, you’re free to do what ever you want." Beckett answered him over Robin.
"What if I care?" Robin asked
"you don’t." ronon said grinning at her
Robin started to deny that, but stopped "You’re right, why should I care? You know everything else." she smiled back at him. "Just promise you won’t go telling everybody about this yet." she asked
"I won’t." Ronon assured her "if it gets out, it won’t be by me."
"Thanks, that was comforting." Robin rolled her eyes
"I can’t promise what the others will say, or say who has heard us talking and will decide to make this conversation material." Ronon said
Robin stopped walking and punched him in the arm
"Hey." Ronon punched her back. Robin rubbed her arm "Ow." she said "did I even hurt you?" she asked
"It almost stung" ronon tried
"turkey turd." Robin muttered and continues down the hall after Beckett. Ronon turned to john "What does turkey turd mean?" he asked. Shepherd was instantly cautious "Why?"
"Robin just call me a turkey turd." he explained "I know it’s not nice, but what is it?"
"Uh, it’s turkey poop." John answered. Ronon frowned "I believe I’m going to have to do something about this." he said
"Right now?" John looked wary
"Do what rigth now?" Weir asked as she caught up to them
"nothing" Ronon smiled at her "And no, John, not right now."
"Did I miss something?" Weir looked at John
"No." John answered "just robin and Ronon messing with each other and ronon swearing revenge. Maybe we should mount a 24 hour guard around robin for the next few weeks." Shepherd suggested playfully.
"Might not be a bad idea." Weir studied Robin as they entered the lab
"I was joking." John said
"I know, but if these fainting spells she’s been having are related to this bond, she shouldn’t be alone." Weir explained. Shepherd nodded "I don’t think she’s going to like that." he said
"I know." Weir frowned "I’m not sure what to do with this one." she sighed "I’m going to go check to see if the info has been sent." she said "Tell me if they find anything before I get back."
John nodded "Will do."
Weir smiled reassuringly at Robin and left the room, Robin made a face at her back as she left the room.
"Hey!" Carson exclaimed "What was that for?" he asked as Robin sat down in the seat he pointed at.
"She bugs me." robin answered
"Well, the rest of us like her so at least make an effort to be civil." Carson raised an eyebrow.
"Ok, but only for you." she said wincing as he prepared a needle "Don’t you already have enough blood from me?"
"Why me?" Carson sighed " No, I need some fresh samples to test."
"Oh." Robin looked forlorn "‘cause you’re the only really cool person here except for Ronon."
"Well thank you, but there are a lot of cool people here." he smiled
"Right." Robin smiled back
"What are you guys talking about?" John asked, joining them.
"Blood." Robin answered "He insists that the other twenty tubes of my blood aren’t enough."
"You ahev twenty tubes of blood from her?" John looked amazed
"No." Carson shook his head "I only have one, but I need fresh samples for these tests."
"Oh." John shrugged "Dr. Weir went to check on the status of the info from SGC." he said. Ronon stood from the seat he had taken near the wall " What are you doing?" he asked peering at the tube filling up with blood.
"You can’t tell?" Robin asked
"watch it." ronon raised an eyebrow "I know what he’s doing, but why?"
"That’s not what you asked." john pointed out
"Yeah, how are we supposed to know what you really want to know?" Robin added
Ronon stepped closer to Robin and leaned in her face "You’re asking for it." he warned
"For what?" Robin grinned "You wouldn’t really do anything."
"You don’t know that."
"People, please." Beckett sighed "I’m trying to accomplish something here."
"Sorry doc." Ronon backed away "Go ahead and keep pushing Robin, you’ll find out what I’ll do."
"That sounded almost like a threat Shepherd, Is that allowed?" Robin asked. John shrugged "I don’t think so, I’ll have to check on that." he smirked "until then, I suggest you walk carefully."
"Funny sir." Robin nodded "Are you almost done?" she asked Carson.
"Almost, I need one more tube."
"How much are you taking?" Robin glanced at the tube he was inserting into her arm.
"Only two tubes."
"Is that safe?"
"Of course, would I do anything not safe?"
"I don’t know." Robin said "Will I be able to walk straight?"
"What?" John exclaimed "Why wouldn’t you be able to?"
"‘cause he’s taking so much blood." Robin explained "Don’t look at me like I’m crazy, I’m not."
"Sure." Ronon said
"Shut up." Robin didn’t even look at him
"Hey..." he started
"There, I’m done." Carson broke in, pulling the needle out of her arm and pressing a cotton swab on it "Here, hold this on for a moment." he instructed. Robin nodded and followed him to the table, still holding the swab firmly in place. "What are you going to check first?" she asked watching as he entered some of the sample onto a slide.
"Any abnormalities in your blood." he answered sliding the sample into his microscope.
"Oh." Robin hopped onto the counter and grinned at Ronon "Hi."
"You’re strange." he shook his head "watch your back."
Robin snorted "You sound evil."
"I do not."
"Kids." John broke in "don’t make me separate you two." he said
"Sir, yes sir." Robin responded.
John just raised an eyebrow "See anything doc?" he asked Beckett.
Beckett looked up "Not yet, it might take some time." he said
"oh." John nodded "how long?"
"You can leave if you want to John." Beckett said without looking up.
"No, I’m good." Shepherd sat down on a chair. Beckett chuckled "Right."
"Can I go?" robin asked kicking Beckett lightly in the leg
"No." Beckett looked up "I might need more samples."
"I don’t think you can take anymore blood. I need the rest of it." Robin kicked him again
"Your chances of leaving greatly improve if you stop kicking me." Beckett said
"Sorry." she apologized "I can go get you some ice." she added hopefully.
"Nice try, but I think I’ll be fine." Carson pointed to a chair "Why don’t you sit in a chair, it might be more comfortable."
"It was worth the try." Robin said as she hopped off the counter and pulled a chair over where she could see what the doctor was doing.
"Thank you." Carson glanced at her and flashed a quick smile at her "Don’t worry, this shouldn’t take very long. You’ll be able to leave within half an hour."
Robin nodded "ok."
"Shouldn’t Dr. Weir be back by now?" Ronon asked

More to come. Maybe
